Monuments are the grappling -irons that bind one generation to another.” -Joseph Joubert
The students of grade 3 went to visit the Humayun Tomb, one of the hot spots for visitors in Delhi. Humayun’s tomb is listed amongst the fifteen Heritage sites in India. Students learned about mathematical 3D shapes used in the architecture of this magnificent monument. They also came to know that Red sandstone and White marble was used in enormous quantities for the first time in the construction of this monument. It was indeed a memorable, enriching, and enjoyable experience for all of them.
