“Children are great imitators, give them something great to imitate.”
Role-play is an acting and speaking activity where children put themselves into somebody else's shoes and act accordingly. Imaginary situation! Imaginary people! The joy of role-playing is that students can 'become' anyone they like for a short time! Presidium organized a role-play competition for the students of Grade 1 to Grade 3. The objective of organizing the competition was to develop confidence in the children and to promote the skills of effective public speaking among them. All the participants were very energetic and performed their roles enthusiastically. They dressed up beautifully according to their roles. The presentations were very enrapturing and this made it difficult for the judges to come to a definite conclusion. The performance of the students was appreciated and they were encouraged to participate more in such competitions to enhance their talents.
