"Reading is to the mind, what exercise is to the body.” 

The students of Presidium held a thought-provoking assembly on the topic ‘The World Book.’ The assembly began with the morning prayer, followed by the news headlines and the thoughts for the day as quoted by Ernest Hemingway “There’s no friend as loyal as a Book.” The students made their fellow friends aware that World Book Day is celebrated on 23rd of April every year. They stressed the fact that countries all over the world have marked this day to encourage children to pick up books and read. A team of students also prepared bookmarkers bearing inspiring quotes. Teachers encouraged each student to inculcate the habit of reading and further elaborated on the benefits of reading good books. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem!
