"The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit.” Keeping the spirit of sportsmanship high, students from Presidium Vivek Vihar participated in 2nd Inter school Kids Athletic Meet 2019, organized by Fuelz Sports Event Management in Presidium Noida wherein more than 200 students from 15 schools participated. It gives us immense pleasure to announce that our Presidians won the overall championship throphy, the 1st position trophy and 30 medals in diverse categories. This truly proves that our Presidians excel in every field they set an eye on!

PRESIDIANS EXPRESS LOVE FOR THEIR MOMS ON MOTHER’S DAY

‘God couldn't be everywhere, therefore he made mothers.’ Presidium Vivek Vihar organised a special celebration on Mother's Day. Although one day is not at all sufficient to realize their sacrifices or efforts but still recollecting all their duties as sons and daughters, the Presidians came together to honour our mothers. A special activity ‘Heart to Art through Mom and Me’ was organized by the team. Gorgeous mothers visited our branch & were spellbound by the dynamic performances of Presidians. Our tiny tots felicitated their mothers and crowned them as queens of their lives. The moment was special, the ambience was lovable and all were touched. Students of grades 1 to 5 showcased their love and gratitude by presenting heart touching songs, skits and dances. The efforts of every child were applauded as tributes were paid to the mothers.

SPECIAL FELICITATION CEREMONY FOR TAEKWONDO CHAMPS

Presidium has always believed in commending the students to inspire them to scale heights. The school held a Felicitation Ceremony for the students of Grades 1 to 5, who appeared for Taekwondo Belt Test (in association with ITF), and brought laurels to the school. Mr. Neeraj Premi, Black Belt International Instructor examined and appreciated the grandeur of ceremony.
Students were highly appreciated for the constant hard work and were encouraged to do even better in the future by telling them about the importance of hopes and aspirations and how they are the stepping stones on the path of success.

PAYING TRIBUTE TO THE LITERARY GENIUS ON RABINDRANATH TAGORE DAY

Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti is a day that marks the birth anniversary of the great scholar, novelist and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. The students of Vivek Vihar commemorated the 158th birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore by presenting a special assembly on ‘Literary Genius Tagore’. They highlighted the importance of poetry by reciting English and Hindi versions of Tagore's poems from Gitanjali collection. The celebration continued by presenting a mesmerizing musical drama. They even sang a Bengali song "akla chalo re" by Rabindranath Tagore, besides the regular news and thought of the day. The assembly was both informative as well as enlightening.

Presidium Vivek Vihar enthused with joy of dancing and celebrated World Dance Day. This Day is dedicated to dance, dancers and dance enthusiasts. This is a Day not only to entertain but also to educate students about the art forms making them more appreciative towards the World of Dance.The event commenced with the soulful classical dance followed by the presentation of an assortment of dance styles ranging from Rajasthani folk, Shiv Tandav to the colourful and energetic Punjabi folk-bhangra. The students thoroughly enjoyed the foot tapping music along with exquisite dance forms. The splendid event reiterated the fact that dance not only helps in expressing emotions but also relaxes our mind, body and soul.

"Mother Earth is the culmination of multiple and diverse energies, which is brought together to create a rich aesthetic experience with a message of harmony and coexistence." A special assembly was conducted at Presidium Vivek Vihar on the occasion of Earth Day led by the students of grade 3 to 5 to demonstrate the support and concern for environmental protection. To dedicate this day to Mother Earth, the troupe performed a mime act depicting the message" kaato mat dukhta hai " which was well choreographed. It exhibited the harm caused to our environment by mankind for their personal benefits. Solutions to save the environment were given with slogans- Reuse, Reduce and Recycle to protect and preserve the green planet. A beautiful melange of a song " I am the earth...." was sung by the students of grade 3. Last but not the least Presidians took pledges to value the generosity of Mother Earth and create an awareness to keep the Earth clean and green.

A vibrant and exhilarating "Baisakhi" celebration was organised in Presidium Vivek Vihar. Children were told about the importance of this festival by depicting the harvest season. They were dressed in colourful Punjabi traditional attire. They also gathered the information that baisakhi is not just the harvest festival, but also an auspicious day as Guru Gobind Singh ji established the "Khalsa Panth" on this day.

It is rightly said, Mathematics teaches us the power of reasoning. Analytical and reasoning skills are important because they help us solve problems and look for solutions. Logic and quantitative reasoning attained in mathematics classes help us to make better decisions. Keeping this in mind, students of Presidium Vivek VIhar enhanced their mathematical skills through enriching mathematical activities. It was an amalgamation of skill setting that included organising , comparing, estimating, reasoning , measuring and solving mathematical problems using various Teaching Learning Materials like Fraction kit, Straw kit, Diene's Blocks, usage of mathematical operations in BODMAS questions, properties of 3D shapes, tangram and Tesellation kit. It was a beneficial and fun experience for children , they learnt to apply mathematical skills in their daily life.
