Janamashtmi is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna.To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, Janamashtmi was celebrated at Presidium Vivek Vihar with mirth and joy.The students were dressed up as Lord Krishna and Radha with flutes, peacock feathers and matkas. The school premises was decorated beautifully and the spirit of festivity was enhanced with Jhankis depicting life history of Lord Krishna. The celebration started with prayers and Krishna bhajans. The event comprised of group dances performed on the life of Krishna by the students. The purpose of the flamboyant celebration was to inculcate the values of sharing and respect in the students. It was a day filled with the essence of divine spirit and the joy of celebration.

VISIT TO NEHRU PLANETARIUM EXPOSES PRESIDIANS TO ASTRONOMY

The Nehru planetarium New Delhi is situated in the green surroundings of the Teen Murti House, previously the official residence of India's first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and now a museum in his memory. For the understanding of crucial facts, Presidium Vivek Vihar organized a visit to the Planetarium for students of Grade 3. To begin with, the students took a walk through the museum where they gathered information about Pt.Nehru's phases of life. The students were spellbound by the number of old photographs covering the walls of the museum. They watched in the sky dome theatre situated in the planetarium. The also watched a show titled Vichitra Brahmaand. It featured information about planets, constellations etc. It was a fruitful and enlightening trip that set many Young Minds aspiring to take up astronomy as a subject.

INDEPENDENCE DAY SPREE FILLS THE AURA AT SCHOOL WITH PATRIOTISM

Presidium Vivek Vihar celebrated Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour.The gamut of celebration activities held at the campus consisted of special morning assembly. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the distinguished Chief Guest unfurled the tricolor flag and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of our freedom. The students of Choir group sang a Patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our Motherland. Students presented an act that reminded us about the sacrifices made by our great freedom fighters and together they pledged that we will serve our motherland, India with heart, body, and soul to bring it glory and laurels with our dignified deeds.

STIRRING GK QUIZ IN ASSOCIATION WITH DISCOVERY CHANNEL

Knowledge is of no value unless you put it into practise. Keeping this thought in mind, students of Grade 4 and 5 of Presidium Vivek Vihar participated in India's largest Quiz Contest in collaboration with Discovery Channel and Byju's, the learning app. Various questions based on different aspects of different subjects were asked. The students were at their literary best while answering the questions. It provided an opportunity for the participants to explore different subjects. Their participation during group discussion was highly appreciated by Discovery Channel representative as well. It's truly said - "Knowledge is the only kind of wealth that multiplies when you give it away".

गया जिसमे कक्षा 1 से 3 के विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक हिस्सा लिया l सभी विद्यार्थियों ने इस अवधि
के दौरान जो भी सीखा उसका शानदार प्रदर्शन किया l कक्षा 1 के विद्यार्थियों ने भिन्न –भिन्न अक्षरों के कट आउट पहने व खेल-खेल में अक्षर बनाए l कक्षा 2 के विद्यार्थियों ने पुस्तक में पढ़ी कहनियाँ व गीत हाव-भाव के साथ सुनाए l कक्षा 3 के विद्यार्थियों ने पुस्तक में पढ़ी कहानियों व क्रिया शब्दों का अभिनय रंगमंच पर किया, साथ ही उन्होंने हास्य खंड के अंतर्गत चुटकले सुना कर सबका मनोरंजन किया l जिसे विद्यालय की शाखा प्रबंधक व शैक्षिक प्रमुख ने खूब सराहा व बताया कि यदि भारतीय संस्कृति को जीवित रखना है तो उन्हें हिंदी भाषा का ज्ञान होना आवश्यक है l

Our Presidians sloganeered eco friendly messages through roadshow and related posters. These young minds shared about the various ways to protect our environment. The main focus of the rally was to make people aware to have a green and healthy environment. The steps that we can take to save the green trees and blue sky are:1) Take preventive measures to stop pollution.2) Stop using plastic. 3) Plant more trees. 4) Save water. All the Presidians took an oath to protect the environment and mother Earth.

PRESIDIUM HOSTS A POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ON GLOBAL ISSUES

To bring out the creative expression of the students and also to gauge their awareness quotient, a Poster Making Competition for grades 4 & 5 was organised at Presidium Vivek Vihar.The themes taken up for the Competition were Swatch Bharat, Women Safety, Ozone layer, etc. The students displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on the given topics.The aim of this competition was not merely to see the creative aspect but also to trigger the thought process of the children and sensitize them towards these burning & serious issues.
Competitions of the sort increase the observational skills, response to thoughts, awareness and concern of the children towards global issues.

Kargil vijay diwas - A day for a recognition of the supreme sacrifices made by our soldiers and their exemplary courage in the cruelest of battles. Students of Presidium Vivek Vihar gave a tribute to all the armed forces of India by celebrating Kargil Vijay Diwas in school and reminded everyone about the sacrifices made by Indian Armed forces to ensure that we sleep in peace at our homes. The students presented a heart touching dance drama based on the victory of Kargil war. It was an enriching experience to instill a sense of respect among students for our forces that safeguard the country from internal and external exigencies.
