PRESIDIANS PAID HOMAGE TO THE BRAVE HEROES ON MARTYRS' DAY

We, at Presidium, inculcate great values in our students so that they become ambassadors of these values as they grow up to be responsible citizens of the country. Keeping this in mind, Martyrs' Day was celebrated to pay homage to the victims who fought for the freedom, welfare, and progress of India and sacrificed their lives. In every art performed, the true essence of peace and harmony was highlighted. The theme of every religion was beautifully enacted by the students through a skit. A two-minute silence in memory of Indian martyrs was maintained by all the students and staff members of Presidium.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE BASANT PANCHAMI WITH GREAT ARDOR

Basant Panchmi is a Hindu festival celebrating Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, music, and art. Celebrated throughout India, Basant Panchami marks the end of the winter season. People usually wear yellow garments at this festival and consume yellow sweets. This day was celebrated in our school premises with full zeal and enthusiasm. Children wore yellow attire and worshipped Goddess Saraswati. Everyone enjoyed the festival with great fun and fervor.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE REPUBLIC DAY WITH DEAR SUDHA MA'AM

With immense pride and patriotism, Presidians celebrated Republic Day. The festivities commenced on a musical note, as the choir group played a note which reverberated throughout with the feeling of patriotism. The entire school courtyard was shining in the shades of tricolor. The ceremony began with the hoisting of the tricolor by the honorable chairperson Sudha Gupta Ma'am. It was followed by inspiring speeches on the significance of the occasion, the spectacular NCC drill, dance and drama which stole the hearts of everyone. Everyone took a pledge to uphold the honor, integrity, dignity, and uniqueness of our nation.

INCULCATING HEALTHIER EATING HABITS IN STUDENTS

The students of Grade Prep participated in "Cooking without Fire" activity organized in the school premises. The tiny tots prepared various dishes like bhelpuri, sandwiches, fruit chaat, pani puri and so on. They also enjoyed preparing lemonade and shakes and displayed their culinary skills and ideas. It was a feast for the eyes and stomach as well. The objective was to encourage healthy/sharing eating habits among the students. It was a wonderful learning experience for the kids.

ARMY DAY: STUDENTS PAY TRIBUTE TO FEARLESS SOLDIERS

Army Day is celebrated on 15 January every year in India, in recognition of Field Marshal Kodandera M. Cariappa's (then a Lieutenant General) taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, on 15 January.
On 15 January 2020, India celebrated its 72nd Indian Army Day in New Delhi. Students of Presidium Vivek Vihar participated enthusiastically in poster making and slogan writing competition to show their gratitude to all the brave fighters who have given up everything to protect the motherland and maintain the integrity of the nation.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE FESTIVAL OF LOHRI WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM

The sound of dhol is in the air, so dance to beats, share and care. Lohri, the cheerful festival of Punjab, is also known as the Harvest festival, which brings good luck, happiness, and prosperity in the lives of all. With lots of eagerness and enthusiasm, Lohri was celebrated at Presidium. The mood of students was absorbed in the festive spirit of Lohri. Students from grade nursery to class V enjoyed singing the Lohri song "Sunder Muderiye."This occasion involves a puja, parikrama around the bonfire with Prasad. In this way, we can keep the tradition and culture alive in our festivities.

SANTA CLAUS DISTRIBUTES GIFTS AT GRAND CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Presidium celebrated Christmas with great fervour and enthusiasm. The entire school celebrated Christmas with the echoes of Christmas carols. The students wore a festive look with bells, streamers and beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Several activities such as decorating Christmas trees and stockings, making Christmas cards and handcrafted bells were organised for the students. The children were told about the birth of Lord Jesus and the legend Santa Claus. The spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots as they exchanged gifts with each other. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing sweets to them.
