‘Ganitotsav’ was celebrated in Presidium for grades 1-3 students. Students conducted different activities on the topics like numbers, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, even and odd numbers, pattern, tangram. It was culminated with the best models being displayed and activities were conducted in a small exhibition. Mathematics games, maths riddles, role plays etc were some of the events that marked the culmination. Students learned various tricks of Vedic Maths to make calculations faster and easier.

STUDENTS OF PRESIDIUM ACED IN TAEKWONDO

Taekwondo is a martial art with four distinct facets as a sport, a martial art, a tool for social development and as a way of life. Students of Mother's Pride and Presidium Vivek Vihar branch participated in State Level taekwondo championship and Sub junior belt test championship held at Tyagraj Stadium. Kiara from grade 3 A brought laurels for our branch. She bagged Bronze under State level championship held on 28th November. 32 more little champs of our branch proved themselves yet again. To extol achievements and brio of young and dynamic Presidians, Annual Sports Day Prize Distribution and Cultural extravaganza was held in which all the branches of Presidium, were cordially invited. The occasion was aggrandized by warm presence of our eminent and illustrious, Chairperson and Founder of this prestigious organization, Mrs. Sudha Gupta along with other dignitaries. The countenance was filled unparallel exuberance and ebullience when students exhibited various performances and cheerleaders with their innumerable hues added on to the oomph.Medals and trophies were presented to the winners.

SPELLATHON COMPETITION IMPROVES PRESIDIANS’ VOCABULARY

In the time and age of auto-correct, predictive text and spell check, a Spellathon Competition for students of grade 4,5 was held at Presidium. Students participated with great enthusiasm and dueled through the toughest words to prove their mettle. The competition made students aware of spellings and the usage of many unfamiliar words. It was a wonderful learning experience not only for the participants but also for their peers and served to enrich the vocabulary bank of the students.

GURUPURAB CREATES SPIRITUAL AURA IN PRESIDIUM

Keeping the secular ethos of the school, Presidium celebrated Gurpurab. The assembly commenced with the recitation of the pauri of 'Jap Ji Sahib' along with the Shabad Gurubani. Students chanted the mool mantra and were enlightened with the teachings of the first Sikh Guru. Dressed up in Punjabi attire, the students followed traditions like prabhat pheri. Lastly, they were given kada prashad. A spiritual aura was created in the school, and Presidians got the essence of the religion in a real sense. It was an enriching experience for everyone.

AN INFLUENCIAL ROAD SHOW ON CANCER AWARENESS DAY

Presidians of grade 3 organised a rally on National Cancer Awareness Day to raise awareness about cancer. The objective was to encourage its prevention, detection, and early treatment. The students enthusiastically participated in the rally carrying placards in their hands and giving knowledge about the rising cases of cancer due to tobacco use, sunburns, obesity, excessive intake of alcohol and various other things. Students also emphasised that early detection, screening and diagnosis will significantly improve survival rates. Overall it was a great step towards learning for young minds.

INTER TALENT HUNT COMPETITION HONES SKILLS OF PRESIDIANS

Presidium organized a Talent Hunt Competition for the students of grades 4 and 5 to discover the hidden talents in its students and also to inculcate the values of discipline among them. The students participated enthusiastically in the event. Students showcase their skills at classical and contemporary dance, poetic recitation and self-composed poems. They also showed their expertise at public speaking. Students participated in this event and were greatly appreciated by the faculty members. They were congratulated and encouraged to hone their skills as these are essential for the development of overall personality of students.

AN EPITOME OF CREATIVITY IN BEST OUT OF WASTE COMPETITION

Presidians of grades 1 to 3 participated in ‘Best Out of Waste Competition’ to create love for environment by making things out of recyclable objects. The students used their imagination and creativity to make innovative things. They used broken bangles, plastic bottles, waste nails, peanut shell, beads, thermocol glasses, old CD etc to make cloth doll, wall hanging, night lamp, and paper flowers. The criteria for the competition was presentation, use of material, and innovation. It was an enriching learning experience for the students.

DIWALI CELEBRATIONS REVEAL PURITY OF SIMPLICITY AND MERRIMENT

The celebrations of Diwali came alive at Presidium when the whole school wore a festive look with diyas and lanterns adorning the corridor and the assembly hall in bright colors. The rangoli added the perfect setting to the festivity. Students talked about the significance of the celebration and sung related songs that brought out the essence of the festival. The students showcased the spirit of Diwali through mesmerizing dance performances. The assembly concluded with a message of a clean, peaceful, and a bright Diwali.
