‘A daughter makes a difference in a family with the love she gives, the thoughtfulness she shows and the memories she creates.’ Daughter’s day is celebrated to honor daughters and appreciate their dedication to family. Their strengths are beyond comparison. The students gathered together to celebrate this day in the assembly organized. They effectuated energetic and beautiful dance performances and also understood the message depicted in the slogan ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’. The assembly was concluded with the National Anthem.

WORLD OZONE DAY: PRESIDIANS HOSTED A WORTHWHILE ASSEMBLY

World Ozone Day, a day to spread awareness about the depleting ozone layer. Ozone helps in safeguarding ourselves from the harmful Ultra Violet rays of the sun. Presidium Vivek Vihar celebrated World Ozone Day by hosting a special purposeful assembly on the theme, ‘A healthy atmosphere- the future we want’. Students shared the importance of protecting ourselves from ozone layer depletion by avoiding excessive sun exposure as well as encourage all to switch to renewable sources of energy. Later, the event comprised of dance performances which added the entertainment quotient in the assembly.

"Science can amuse and fascinate us all, but it is engineering that changes the world”- Isaac Asimov Every year Engineer's day is celebrated in India to give a tribute to the greatest Indian Engineer, Mokshagundam Visvesvarya who also received India's highest honour, the Bharat Ratna in 1955. Presidians celebrated this day with enthusiasm and came to know about the importance of this profession. ‘Scientist dream about doing great things, engineers do them.’

इस अवसर पर विद्यालय में विशेष सभा का आयोजन किया गया l सभा की शुरूआत दिल को छू लेने वाली कविता ‘हिंदी हूँ मै हिंदी ‘ के गायन के साथ हुई l हिंदी भाषा का महत्त्व व वर्तमान समय में इसकी दशा को समझाने के लिए विद्यार्थियों ने भाषण, कविता व नुक्कड़ नाटक की प्रस्तुति की l सभा के अंत में विद्यार्थियों व शिक्षक गण ने प्रण लिया कि वे हिंदी भाषा के उत्थान के लिए भरसक प्रयत्न करके हिंदी संस्कृति को जीवित रखेंगे l

Presidium Vivek Vihar celebrated Teacher’s day with great fun and enthusiasm. This day is dedicated to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, second President of India, a great philosopher and, above all, a teacher. The students performed a scintillating cultural show to denote their love, respect, acknowledgement and recognition of the hard work put in by the teachers towards their development. The cultural show incorporated poems, songs, dance and drama. They also entertained teachers by arranging fun games for them. They indicated that, teachers play a vital role in making their pupil accountable citizens of tomorrow and wonderful human beings. They are the cornerstone of students’ future and there’s nothing worth enough to gratify them for their selfless service and commitment. All teachers enjoyed and appreciated the programme. The faculty members were overwhelmed by the efforts and love shown by the students.

PRESIDIUM HOSTS A POSTER MAKING COMPETITION ON GLOBAL ISSUES

To bring out the creative expression of the students and also to gauge their awareness quotient, a Poster Making Competition for grades 4 & 5 was organised at Presidium Vivek Vihar.The themes taken up for the Competition were Swatch Bharat, Women Safety, Ozone layer, etc. The students displayed their artistic skills through an array of posters on the given topics.The aim of this competition was not merely to see the creative aspect but also to trigger the thought process of the children and sensitize them towards these burning & serious issues.
Competitions of the sort increase the observational skills, response to thoughts, awareness and concern of the children towards global issues.

PRESIDIUM VIVEK VIHAR MARKS NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

National Sports Day is celebrated across the country on 29th August to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indian hockey legend Major Dhayn Chand, who won 3 gold medals for India in 1928, 1932 and 1936. Through this we bring awareness about sports among students and youth. On this occasion, Presidians of Vivek Vihar took part in a Sports drill dedicated to legendary hockey champion major Dhyan Chand. An assembly was also conducted to attract the attention of students towards sports. Main aim of the National Sports Day is to raise awareness about the importance of sports and during home the attention of people to comprehend its advantages on human body.

QUIZ COMPETITION ADDS TO PRESIDIANS’ QUEST FOR KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge is powerful, but sharing it is liberating. Following the same ideology, Presidium Vivek Vihar organised an Ínter Class Quiz Competition which focussed on current affairs and general knowledge. The event made sure to involve the participants in their quest for knowledge. The Quiz was divided into four interesting rounds which tested the student’s knowledge of current affairs in a way that was not only enriching but also technologically advanced. The students were benefited by such a competition as it increased their knowledge and competitive spirit to attain higher.
